How we review
Every score on this site uses the same 0 to 10 scale with one decimal. A 9 is exceptional, a 7 is solid with real trade-offs, and a 5 means we would not recommend it for most firms. We do not grade on a curve, and nothing gets a perfect 10.
What goes into a score
Reviews score four to six criteria that matter for accounting firms: typically value for money, features, ease of use, support, and integrations. Rankings weigh the same factors plus fit, meaning who each product actually serves best. Comparisons go criterion by criterion and name a winner for each round.
Our sources
We work from public information: vendor documentation and pricing pages, verified customer feedback across review platforms, and industry reporting. When a fact cannot be verified, we write around it or leave it out. We do not publish specific prices that vendors do not publish themselves.
Honesty rules we hold ourselves to
Every product in every ranking gets genuine cons, including the ones at the top. No product wins a category it does not deserve, and no entry exists just to make another product look good. If we update a score, the article shows the updated date.
